Our day-old peepers will arrive in early May, but by October these fluff balls will be turning out gorgeous, healthy and colorful eggs by the dozens. I’ve ordered a balance of egg producers and heritage breeds, of laying machine and dual purpose hen, so this should be our most productive flock ever!
Backyard Egg Enthusiasts Take Note: Once these new hens reach the point of lay, we’ll be selling all of our year-olds and any extra pullets we may have. If you long to experience the joy of raising your own laying flock, mark your calendar, for in early October you’ll have opportunity to buy some of our super friendly, hand-raised and hand-fed chickens.
